Gettysburg was the 1993 movie that dramatized the decisive American Civil War Battle of Gettysburg. It was directed by Ronald F. Maxwell, who also wrote the screenplay, adapted very faithfully from the Pulitzer Prize-winning 1974 novel The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara.
